When I visit a different city from my own, I pay close attention to how the light travels around the buildings, pavements and the objects scattered around. From day to night, I have seen the sun and streetlighting alter the mood of a city, bringing about a new atmosphere, energy and a visual splendour for us all. The light changes our perspective and influences how we engage with the cityscape, creating warmer and colder impressions of our environment. Intimacy or distance; does natural light compliment the architecture and landscape with its soft approach, and can artificial light have the same effect? This contrast between daylight and streetlighting is captivating in so many ways for visitors, residents and photographers like me.

I want you to see what I see; marvel at the light passing through our surroundings. Understand what that does to your overall impression of a city, noticing how it enhances and influences the landscape around you. A photographer is forever chasing the light - I enjoy wondering through different cities with my camera capturing these displays, now I want to share them with you.
